Easy to make, yet delicious in taste, tomato gojju works as the perfect and healthy side dish to dosa, idli, chapathi, ragi roti, akki roti, rice and ragi balls. Ingredients use are very basic and can easily be found in most kitchens.

›   Sunsip fresh tomato’s crush
›   3 big sized onions [optional]
›   2 garlic
›   A pinch of ginger
›   1 tsp. mustard seeds 

›   5 tbsp. oil
›   1/8 tbsp. hing
›   1 tbsp. red chilli powder or sambar powder
›   Curry leaves and salt to taste

The dish has tangy taste, making it the perfect accompaniment for dosa, idli, rice roti, and chapathi. It also tastes fantastic with rice and ghee, and puri. And just like that, you are the king of the kitchen!

Method of making South Indian Style tomato Gojju, by using Sunsip Fresh Tomato’s crush

  1. First, heat oil in a kadai.
  2. Add mustard seeds, and once they splutter, add curry leaves.
  3.  Add 3 chopped onions and fry until they turn golden-brown in colour.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of ginger and garlic paste.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder, 2 big spoons of red chilli powder or sambar powder
  6. Mix Sunsip fresh tomato crush, cover with a lid and let it simmer for 15 minutes
  7. Finally, garnish the dish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
